FeelNYC reviews the best things to do this week

With Halloween and the presidential elections coming up this week it looks to be another busy week in NYC. Here at FeelNYC we aim to solve all your problems by giving you a review to what´s going on for the rest of the week.

The 39th annual Village Halloween parade will march through the streets of NYC on October 31st with 53 bands from all genres of music, hundreds of puppets, dancers and artists alike alongside thousands of New Yorkers putting on a show themselves.

Slow food NYC annual (S)lowdown party

November 1st sees the return of the Slow food NYC annual (S)lowdown party at The Invisible Dog Art Center ,51 Bergen St. This culinary fete sees the coming together of some of the best mixologists in the city as well as top class food;  slow-roasted pig from Fatty ‘Cue, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese fromage plates and a raw-oyster bar from the Cleaver Company. An after party continues at 61 Local with cookies and ice cream from One Girl Cookies.

Sonár in Gotham city

Having indulged in the culinary delights that NYC has to offer, you will be well prepared for a night of the finest house music the world has to offer. Sonar, the famous electronic music festival born in Barcelona takes over Gotham on November 2nd with music from South African Die Antwood alongside progressive thinking Paul Kalkbrenner with his deep house vibes and Nic Fanciulli bringing more eclectic sounds of the underground.

ING New York marathon

After a couple of days of consumption you can see the ING New York marathon take place through the streets of the city. What better way to get motivated to burn off those few extra pounds on your return home than watching the world´s elite long distance runners hot foot it through the city, as well as the throngs of amateurs that follow on. We recommend along Fourth Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn; First Avenue between 60th and 96th Streets in Manhattan; or Central Park South near the finish line—to cheer on the passing runners. Beware the stragglers might look like they are from the Halloween parade though!

We hope that this review helps you out and you have no problems finding things to enjoy during your stay!
